This project involved the delivery and precision crane placement of two 40ft High Cube (40HC) shipping containersfor a custom tiny home build in Victoria. While container transport is often seen as straightforward, jobs like this highlight the level of planning, equipment, and execution required to achieve an accurate final result.
Each 40ft High Cube container provides additional internal height compared to standard units, making them ideal for tiny homes, modular builds, and custom site setups. However, their size and weight also present challenges — particularly when access is restricted or final positioning requires exact alignment.
For this job, our team managed the complete logistics process, from transport through to final crane placement. Using our crane truck, both containers were carefully lifted, maneuvered, and positioned into place with a strong focus on stability, reach, and site conditions.
Access and placement are often the most critical parts of container projects. Ground conditions, overhead clearance, and positioning tolerances all need to be assessed before the lift begins. In this case, the containers needed to be placed with precision to suit the layout of the tiny home design, ensuring correct spacing and alignment for the next stage of the build.
Our crane setup allowed for controlled lifting and smooth placement, reducing the risk of ground damage and ensuring the containers were set exactly where required. This type of work highlights the advantage of using a combined transport and crane solution, rather than relying on multiple contractors.
At Container Solutions, we regularly complete projects involving container transport, cranage, and on-site positioningacross Melbourne and regional Victoria. From single container deliveries through to multi-unit setups for storage, construction, and modular housing, we focus on practical solutions that suit real-world site conditions.
Whether it’s a straightforward drop-off or a complex placement requiring reach and accuracy, having the right equipment and experience makes a significant difference to both efficiency and final outcome.
This job is a solid example of how planning, equipment capability, and operator experience come together to deliver a clean, precise result for container-based projects.
